America's Next Top Model - Zac Efron says he used to fancy Tyra Banks on 20 Mar 2008 by Hayley
High School Musical star Zac Efron has claimed supermodel Tyra Banks was his "first love". The 20-year-old actor admitted he used to have a poster of the America's Next Top Model presenter on his ceiling when he was a teenager, Digital Spy reported. "I had that famous poster of [Tyra] in a purple bathing suit in my room seventh or eighth grade," the Hairspray actor said. "I thought she was so hot. She was my first love." Zac has previously admitted he loves "curvaceous and beautiful women", including his on-again-off-again girlfriend and High School Musical costar Vanessa Hudgens, the Daily Star reported. Meanwhile, earlier this month, Zac claimed he saw a ghost on the Isle of Man while filming the upcoming movie Me and Orson Welles. According to Now magazine Zac and 28-year-old costar Claire Danes claimed they saw the spooky apparition while on a shoot in the Gaiety Theatre, which is rumoured to be haunted. It is thought that the actor is getting ready to take on Kevin Bacon's famous role in the remake of the classic '80s film Footloose.

Ten Things You Never Knew About Zac Efron on 19 Mar 2008 by Hayley
Zac Efron is a phenomenon. The High School Musical star can barely move without being mobbed by screaming fans after Disney's mega-hit made him a teen sensation. One in three girls in the US has a poster of him on their wall, he's graced the cover of every tween magazine (not to mention the Rolling Stone) and he even had the honour of being voted Gay Spy's "fitty fitster" of 2007. Could he be more popular? With the HSM sequel premiering on BBC One this Friday, there's never been a better time to find out more about Hollywood's hottest heartthrob. 1. Zachary David Alexander Efron was born in California 20 years ago, the eldest son of power plant workers David and Starla. He has a 16-year-old brother Dylan, with whom he admits he used to have "full-on fist brawls”. 2. One of Zac's early roles was on ER. Unfortunately, his character died on the operating table! 3. Zac had a poster of supermodel Tyra Banks on his bedroom ceiling when he was a boy. “I had that famous poster of [her] in a purple bathing suit in my room seventh or eighth grade, ” he recalls. “I thought she was so hot. She was my first love.” 4. But who floats our hero's boat these days? Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul, Summerland co-star Lori Loughlin and Jessica Alba are top of his list. And, it goes without saying, his sometime girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens. 5. The dogtag Zac wears around his neck was a present from Ms Abdul from her very own jewelry collection. It says "Reach for the Stars" on the front and "You might just become one!" on the back. Aww! 6. Zac turned down a record deal from Simon Cowell, telling him: "Acting is my main priority." 7. Zac's pals nicknamed him "Hollywood", but blogger Perez Hilton oped for the more feminine "Zacquisha" as part of an ongoing attempt to out him as gay. 8. Zac says screen legend Liza Minelli is one of his greatest inspirations. Hmm, that may not do much to alleviate those rumours! 9. Zac assures us that fame hasn't gone to his head and he's still a regular guy. “I could show you 500 kids in LA who are my height, weight, hair colour and age. We’re a dime a dozen," he says. "Why did I get the parts I did? Who knows? But the minute I start thinking it’s because I was special, that’s when I know I’m in trouble.” 10. What is Zac's party trick? "I can blow bubbles with my spit," he boasts. Nice!

Zac Efron spooked by ghost on set on 13 Mar 2008 by Hayley
American actor Zac Efron was scared out of his wits when he apparently spotted a ghost on the set of the new movie ‘Me And Orson Welles’. The ‘High School Musical’ star, who was the highest paid teenage actor and who has his own SAS guards to keep him safe from screaming girls, was quite shaken with the experience. Apparently, he and his co-star Claire Danes are convinced that they saw a ghost while playing a scene in the Gaiety Theatre, which is one of the most haunted places in the country, the Sun reported. The crew on the set have been having a good time at their expense, seeking out every opportunity to pull their legs about the figure that they saw outside the window.

Efron saved Perry from stampeding fans on 12 Mar 2008 by Hayley
Former “Friends” star Matthew Perry was all thanks for his “Seventeen Again” co-star Zac Efron for unknowingly saving him from stampeding female fans. Perry was asked to sign his autograph on their most intimate parts, but he was spared the embarrassment when the 20-year-old Efron walked by, contactmusic.com reports. He said: “The minute they saw Zac, all those lovely fleshy bits that were being waved in front of me vanished as they ran off screaming over to him. “Good luck to Zac - I don’t think I could handle all that adulation at my age.”

Zac Efron's on set tent on 09 Mar 2008 by Hayley
Zac Efron demanded a private tent on the set of his new movie to hide from female fans. The 'High School Musical' star, who is currently filming 'Seventeen Again' in Los Angeles, was so terrified of being mobbed during a scene on location at a high school he asked bosses for somewhere he could escape to. A source said: "Zac was petrified about being surrounded by students while shooting at a Los Angeles school, so he had producers erect a tent he could duck into every time the school bell rang. "The pitter-patter of teenage feet scared him so much he asked for a bell schedule so he could zoom into the tent before class finished." Zac, who is starring alongside former 'Friends' actor Matthew Perry in the movie, encounters hysterical female admirers everywhere he goes. The source added: "Matthew was mobbed by pretty fans at an LA burger joint, but they all switched their attention to Zac when he came in."
